Welcome to Seth’s New Webpage. Much to do, too little time in which to
do it, but I hope you enjoy for the time being.
I am originally from Huntington, WV, in the foothills of the Appalachians. I then received a B.S. in Physics and a B.S. in Mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (a.k.a. VT) in 2001. I also had a classical languages (Greek and Latin) concentration. From there, I moved to Baltimore, MD in 2001.
Currently, I am a research associate in the F.M. Kirby Research Center at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Department of Radiology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I recently completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry at Johns Hopkins.
My research has focused and still is focused on developing novel MRI techniques for the study of the Brain and Spinal Cord in disease and in health. Currently I have two large fingers of research:
· Magnetization Transfer Imaging of the Brain and Spinal Cord
Much of my work has been closely associated with a variety of departments both at Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins:
