Currently, I am a post-doctoral research Fellow in the Department of Radiology in Johns Hopkins University. I work at the FM Kirby Research Center for Functional Brain Imaging at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. My main research focus is to study brain function using functional magnetic resonance imaging with naturalistic stimuli.
Previously, I worked as a research Scientist in Sensory Research in Philip Morris USA for three years where I did chemosensory research for harm reduction.
I graduated with my doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005. During my PhD I worked in the Bioelectrical Computing Research Laboratory studying ventricular fibrillation using optical mapping technolgy. I also worked part-time at Philip Morris USA.
My research interests are functional brain imaging, cardiac and nueral electrophysiology, biomedical signal processing and medical imaging. A short CV in pdf format can be viewed here.
There are more than necessary nonacademic issues that interest me, which include christian apolegetics, music, nature, volleyball, soccer, dancing, photography, ...
I have a very tolerant family (my wife, my parents and my in-laws) and a great circle of friends.
